A: This is my 9th year as a professional photographer! I started in a studio, working for a corporation. I became the preferred photographer for families because of my ability to make all the kids laugh and enjoy having their portraits taken, but a plain, colored backdrops and restrictions on parents getting involved just weren't for me!

A: SURPRISE! I am too!!! Seriously, I am Queen of Awkward for portraits. That is such a huge reason I keep sessions playful and full of connection. You will be lovin' on each other and playing together so much, you won't even remember "awkward" is in your vocabulary! I promise you will enjoy the experience!

A: Yep! The retainer saves your date/time in my calendar, and covers travel, wardrobe planning, your session, and editing time. Then, I send your video (be ready to swoon!) and proofing gallery, where you choose your collection. That way you get exactly what you want - so easy! 

A: Yessss! I offer an incredible selection of gowns for moms to wear, and timeless pieces for kids, too - all totally free to borrow for your session. If you don't fall in love with something, we can add to my closet (you get to set a trend) or I can simply direct you where to find your own stunning outfit. I will send my Style Guide that tells you where to shop, what to look for and what to avoid. 

A: Absolutely! Like with my Style Guide, I will send you my Location Guide with my personal favorite locations. If you don't find one you love, we'll talk about what scenic view you're wanting and where you're hoping to find it. No matter what, you won't have to do more than pick your favorite. If you have a location that's important to you, let me know! It adds a special touch to your session.

A: Yes, I do! The retainer is due in full at the time of booking (since it is the only way to hold your date in my calendar and allow me to not schedule anyone else!) The remaining amount of your collection can be split up into 1/3, or 1/4 payments.

**Artwork orders must be paid in full

A: Absolutely! You have personal printing rights* for the digital images you purchase. While I encourage you to print your images, rather than lose them to your digital albums, I won't be able to help you with any color, quality or other issues with prints ordered from outside print labs. If you have taken the time to work with me, I highly encourage you to purchase prints and artwork through me to preserve the quality. My clients care about this quality difference!

*Personal printing rights include printing for private residences, and cannot be submitted for publications, contests or public viewing without written permission from Cactus & Pine Photography LLC.

A: This beautiful desert provides us with very fortunate weather 8-10 months out of the year! However, if the forecast shows rain, extreme cloudiness, or extreme heat on the day of your session, I don't stress until the morning before the session! We'll touch base that day and make a decision. Please note, I love sunshine in my images, but this does not make it impossible to take incredible portraits with some clouds!

I allow ONE reschedule for weather, at your request.

A: FAVE question ever! All you have to do is tell me you're ready to book, give me a date (if you haven't already) or timeframe that works for you, and let me know which collection and payment plan (full, 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4) sounds the best to you! Don't worry, you will still make the final decision after your session.
